Draw No Bet – A Low Risk Betting Strategy

September 27, 2017 - Computer

There is nothing better than watching the horse you have spent time and effort selecting romping home and winning you some money! There is nothing worse than watching it come in second or third and being beaten by the horse you selected as second best.

But what if you had placed a small wager on the second best horse in the race just to be placed? You know, a small bet just to recover your stake on the main selection should things go wrong, a sort of insurance policy. We take insurance out on all kinds of things, even our pets so why not take out some insurance on our betting activities.

Well, this is the kind of thing you can do when you use the Draw No Bet strategy. This strategy is no longer reserved just for football matches. When you start to think out of the box and use the new betting markets which seem to be emerging all the time, especially on sites such as Betfair then anything is possible.

In case you do not know the Draw No Bet strategy is exactly as the name suggests. You place enough money on the Draw to cover the money you have staked on the Team you fancy to win so that if the match results in a draw then you get your stake money back.

However, you don’t even have to put your cover bet on in the same event. You could place your win bet on your main selection and then place your cover bet in an entirely different event, the best of both worlds.

You don’t even have to use the same sport. You could select a horse to win and have your cover bet on Andy Murray in the Tennis. All combinations are allowed. You are only limited by your imagination.

The nice thing as well about having your cover bet in another event or even another sport is that both the win and the cover bet could win. In the traditional Draw No Bet on football, because both bets are on the same event you are always guaranteed to lose at least one of your stakes.

So let your imagination wander a bit, break out of the mould, be creative. We are no longer restricted to the bets that the bookmakers will accept. We can use the likes of Betfair to make our betting more profitable and hopefully safer.
