A South Korean robotics company called Hankook Mirae Technology has created a giant manned robot that walks like a human.

It’s 13 feet tall, weighs around 3,000 pounds, and it took about 30 engineers to build.

It resembles the military robots in the movie “Avatar,” only thing is it’s real — and it took its first steps this week.

So far, company chairman Yang Jin-Ho has invested $200 million in the project since 2014.

He said he wants bring something to life that seemed possible only in movies and cartoons.

The practical uses for the robot remain unclear, and the project still has a way to go.

It’s tethered to a power cable and still has to work on its balance.

But Yang says, in the next couple years, it will be able to move more freely, “just like humans.
